Annual Holiday Celebrations Begin In Northern Michigan

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and everyone is coming out to celebrate. See where the holiday celebrations are beginning in Northern Michigan. What’s going on your calendar?

November 17: Ladies Opening Night

Ladies, head over to Downtown Petoskey to begin your holiday shopping and create your wish list from 5-9pm. After, show your list at Doe Camp to register for a prize drawing off the buck pole. While your husbands are away for the first day of hunting season, you can enjoy a night with the girls!

November 17-18: Traverse City Merry Makers Market

Buy one of a kind holiday gifts at this holiday art fair. There will be local artists, food and other festive treats. This event is free and open to the public at the Crooked Tree Arts Center; you won’t want to miss it!

November 23: Kiwanis Boyne City Turkey Trot

Get a workout in before Thanksgiving dinner at this local 5K. The fun starts at 9am at the Boyne City District Library. Tickets are $25 and all of the proceeds go to the Kiwanis Club of Boyne City Foundation.

November 23: Thanksgiving Dinner at The Inn at Bay Harbor

November 24: Charlevoix East Park Community Tree Lighting Celebration

Head over to this all-day event starting at 10am. There will be a holiday parade, visits from Santa, cookie decorating and, to end this fun-filled day, community tree lighting. Celebrations start at: 400 Bridge St, Charlevoix, MI 49720

November 25: Stafford’s Downtown Petoskey Holiday Parade

Get in the holiday spirit at the Downtown Petoskey Holiday Parade starting at 10am. Don’t forget to bring an unwrapped gift for the Toys for Tots program. There will be plenty of floats, banks, and walking ensembles that you don’t want to miss.

December 1: Petoskey’s Holiday Open House

Starting at 6pm, Santa Clause will fly into town to light the Christmas tree in Pennsylvania Park. Enjoy entertainment and warm holiday greetings at this fun event.
