Great Lakes Center for the Arts Now Open
When it comes to the arts and culture, Bay Harbor is in the heart of it all. In July 2018, the Great Lakes Center for the Arts hosted its Grand Opening Gala and began its premier season of programming. This world-class $25 million venue features a state-of-the-art, 500-seat theater, community engagement space for education and receptions, rooftop deck overlooking Lake Michigan and an exclusive donor lounge. The Center has ushered in a new era of top-notch entertainment in Northern Michigan, featuring internationally acclaimed artists and companies ranging from concerts, theatrical productions, music and dance series to movies and films, comedy, lectures, festivals and events. The Center’s Lead Strategy Consultant is Michael Kaiser, President Emeritus of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Kaiser’s goal of bringing the arts to everyone is embodied through the range and scope of the Center’s year-round programming and educational outreach.
